Targeting

Property and Listing Type Targeting

Match the ad to the kind of property, and the kind of transaction, being shopped for.

Property type targeting selects the category of property someone is shopping — condominiums, houses, apartments, villas, land, and commercial, office or business property — by naming it in a campaign’s keywords. Listing type separates the transaction intent behind the search in the same way: sale, rent, vacation rental or co-living. Available categories differ by marketplace.

  • Target by property category
  • Separate buying intent from renting intent
  • Combines with search location

Category is not a detail

Someone shopping for a condominium and someone shopping for land are different people with different questions, different budgets and different timelines. Property type keeps a campaign aligned to the one it was written for.

Buying and renting are different intents

Listing type separates transaction intent, so a sales campaign is not spending against rental searches — and a lettings campaign is not competing for buyers it cannot serve. Where a project or a book does both, that is two campaigns, not one compromise.

  • Condominiums, houses, apartments, villas, land, commercial and office property
  • Sale, rent, vacation rental and co-living intent
  • Categories vary by marketplace — the Keyword Planner lists them

Price range and behaviour

Campaigns are not targeted by price range, or by behaviour such as listing views, saves or enquiries. Put the price point in the ad and on the landing page instead, so the people who click are the ones it suits.

Common questions

Is this only for residential property?
No. Campaigns run for condominiums, houses, apartments, villas, land, and commercial, office or business property. The exact categories available depend on the market you select.
